INTRODUCTION
Since 1997 when Chongqing became the municipality directly under the central government, great changes have taken place in every aspect. During this period, thousands of foreigners who are or have the experience of working, studying or traveling in Chongqing have witnessed the changes. And the changes are still attracting more and more people from all over the world and all walks of the society.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Committee and Information Office of Chongqing Municipality will sponsor a Photograph Competition themed Chongqing Ten Years, aiming to better expose Chongqing to the outside, thus helping even more foreigners understand this unique city and promoting the image of Chongqing municipality.

INTENDED PARTICIPANTS
Foreigners who are or have the experience of living, working, studying or traveling in Chongqing.
TIMING
•Call for Entries Deadline: May 25th, 2007 (Subject to the date stamp)
•Works will be judged: Early June, 2007
•Awarding and Exhibition Time: Late June, 2007
CONDITIONS AND RULES
Entries should mainly reflect the urban construction, natural scenery, humanity, history, folk custom, and urban industries. There will be no limit on the subjects and styles. Both color and monochrome prints are acceptable.
Both single picture and sequence are acceptable. Longer side of each entry shall be 10-inch long. Sequence shall consist of no more than 6 pictures bonded together using transparent sticker.
Photojournalism entries whose original images are manipulated are unacceptable. All prints should be sent un-mounted and un-tucked. No negatives are needed.
Every entry shall be indicated on the back the work’s information (title, photo-taking place, brief description) and the entrant’s information (name, nationality, work place or address and cell phone).
The organizer will make every possible effort to protect the entries, but shall not liable for any damages to the entries during mailing.
The organizer has the right to exhibit, publish (including digital publish) and show the prize-winning photographs for non-commercial purposes without any further liability for paying contribution fees.
The entrant shall ensure that their works are not involved in any dispute concerning infringement on other’s copyright, portrait right or reputation right. Otherwise, the entrant shall be liable for any and all legal issues arising out of said disputes. All entrants will deemed by the sponsors to agree to and abide by the Conditions and Rules.
